Aeva-ohê Bî (/aˈeva/ /ˈohɘ/ [oral] [confidence]) is a subtropical Town located in the Rëfiithe Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Aeva-ohê Bî is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Aeva-ohê Bî was founded by Alagwen Zêbm, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Aeva-ohê Bî has a yearly average temperature of 21°C (69°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a pleasant 24°C (75°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 19°C (66°F). Aeva-ohê Bî receives an average of 244 cm/y (96 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Overview

Aeva-ohê Bî was founded durring the early 10th century, by Alagwen Zêbm. The establishment of Aeva-ohê Bî was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Alagwen Zêbm struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Aeva-ohê Bî as a prison colony.

Aeva-ohê Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 10th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Aeva-ohê Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Aeva-ohê Bî is was constructed arround several narrow carved bedrock mainstreets which cross one another at certain axies, with smaller streets branching off of them to premit acess to the many buildings deeper into the road network. The overall fashion is remenessent of a circulatory system, or other organic construct, and is quite effishent in its design. The town sits behind a stone-renforced palisade wall, with stone gatehouses and timber drawbridges for their trench. The town's would-be-castle fortifications have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

Aeva-ohê Bî has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Aeva-ohê Bî ’s existence was once fed by scholarly pursuits. But the income once drawn in by the works of scribes and academics has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. Everywhere about the town one can see abandoned schools, libraries, and other academic structures. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear the town places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual. Even in these times.

Civic Infrastructure

Aeva-ohê Bî possesses a city-wide Aethary Link which provides Aethary access anywhere within its metropolitan. This allows citizens who can afford the relevant devices access in their places of work, and rarely homes.

Aeva-ohê Bî has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Aeva-ohê Bî. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Aeva-ohê Bî's parks.

Aeva-ohê Bî has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Aeva-ohê Bî.

Aeva-ohê Bî has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Aeva-ohê Bî's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Aeva-ohê Bî has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Aeva-ohê Bî's natural decorations nor waterways.

Aeva-ohê Bî has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.

Aeva-ohê Bî has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Aeva-ohê Bî has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Aeva-ohê Bî is home to a University which provides higher education in a variety of fields, and also serves as a research institute for those same fields.

Cultural Notes

There’s a relatively new religion in Aeva-ohê Bî which is rapidly gaining power. It might be a sectarian offshoot of a major faith, the unique product of a new prophet, or an outside faith backed by wealthy and powerful foreign supporters. Depending on the demands made on believers, the new faith may be a matter of concern only to the existing clergy, or it might be a major flashpoint for conflict in the community.

Aeva-ohê Bî's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known primarily for its use of abstraction and simplicity. Clean lines, right angles, and primary colors characterized this aesthetic and art movement expressed via architecture and paintings. Its design ethos allows only primary colors and non-colors, only squares and rectangles, only straight and horizontal or vertical lines. Vertical and horizontal lines are positioned in layers or planes that do not intersect, thereby allowing each element to exist independently and unobstructed by other elements. These seemingly impossible principals for an architectural style coalesces into structures which most experts find hard to put into words. It is not that their geometry is impossible, but rather the style's attempt at producing works only describable visually was most successful..
